Toscolano Maderno - Economy
The local economy is based on tourism, like all the coastal areas of Lake Garda. However, the main source of income is based on the paper industry and has been the most important since 1300 and is still running. The area also produces excellent wines, olives and citrus fruits. Fishing is no longer practiced widely.
